And how many Israeli children died or were injured when Hamas launched ROCKETS on civilian targets within Israel?
Is Reuters publishing that number in their article?
No.
Instead, they are trying to sell this notion to the American public that Israel is the bad guy here. Israel is doing something wrong by invading Gaza and kicking the holy shit out of Hamas? Really? And what would Reuters say if Mexico City suddenly started launching rockets on the city of Dallas? What if Barack Obama had been trying to negotiate peace for 80 years, and nothing moved? What if Barack Obama had been trying to negotiate peace and the international community did not care about the safety of the citizens of the United States?
Who would he have to side with then? The UN? The “international community” at large? Or should he side with the people who hired him to represent them? Whose interests should be more important to him in this country’s hour of need?
Israel chose.
It chose to defend itself, and I believe it is well within its rights to defend its people when rockets are being dropped on their heads from within the Gaza strip. By no means should Israel have to negotiate with terrorists who are killing Israeli children in their beds at night. It makes no sense to try to negotiate peace with someone who does not wish for it and only wants what they want, no matter what the price.
It’s time to smack down the petulant child that is Hamas and tell them that under no circumstances will bloodshed be answered with gifts and kind words.
Good for you Israel. Good for you.
I saw a tweet go by this morning that mentioned that the Adam Walsh case was officially being closed today. I thought it important to blog it here, because this case has been ongoing for almost as long as I’ve been alive. Adam Walsh would be my age if he were alive today and when the news broke of his death, I cried for him because that could have just as easily been me.
Adam Walsh disappeared in a time when it was okay to let your kids walk through the toys section while you finished up your shopping and then came back for them. Department stores like that were always full of kids in the toy sections when I was growing up. Sometimes, play groups would form around the displays and I would make new friends there, but after Adam Walsh disappeared, I think every parent in America slept a little less easily.

What more could a guy want, really?
This gal is attractive, reads you the morning headlines and has a smokin’ hot bod, but he can’t have sex with her yet. Much like Chii from Clamp’s manga, Chobits. I always felt so bad for Hideki. He had all that porn hanging around, he was clearly not in control of his hormones… and he couldn’t have sex with his girlfriend because she was a robot.
I have to share this with you all. A local blogger, Barb Chamberlain, recently began following me on twitter, and she posts her blogposts to twitter, much like I do. Today, she posted this charming little story and you have to read it. I read it to my daughter and she and I sat at the kitchen counter and giggled for good five minutes.

I can’t blog 24 hours a day, and I saw the news late last night that Apple had pulled down the support page that I linked to yesterday, saying that the page was old and outdated and that OSX contained features which made it resilient against viruses and exploits.
Apple made several good arguments about why antivirus software wasn’t necessary and could be detrimental to performance on the mac because antivirus software tends to be fairly intensive and hogs system resources that users could be using to get things done.

When I see things like this, I have to wonder what this says about America to the rest of the globe. The top ten yahoo searches of 2008 start off with Britney Spears and it only gets worse from there.
No wonder other countries hate us. We’re a bunch of losers with boring lives that have nothing better to do besides throw our money at mentally ill super stars, wrestling programs that we are well aware are fake, and of all things.. really crappy Japanese anime. (Sorry Viz, but your American production of Naruto is lame with a capital LAME).
And honestly, coming from a pc, I wondered how I was going to make that work. Even though the mac is less susceptible to viruses, and I think this is primarily because there are less macs out there, it still makes sense to consider security when you put a computer on the internet. Of course, from Apple’s perspective, this is a win win situation.

In spite of the fact that this woman has died, I find it difficult to be sad for someone who has passed on after living for over a hundred years. My God, the life this woman had! I can’t imagine it, and I can only hope that will live as long a life and be surrounded by loved ones and family when I pass.
However, I do feel for her family who must be grieving at this time, but still they should celebrate the amazing life this woman has led. One hundred and fifteen years, how amazing.
May we all live to be one hundred and fifteen.
So they finally sentenced her, and this article really explains it all. She was not convicted of the felony conspiracy charge, but she was charged on misdemeanor unauthorized accessing of computers for the purpose of causing emotional distress.
I do feel bad for the Meier family. I’m not sure what else to say here. I want to say something witty and clever, but all I can tell you is that I think that it really doesn’t matter what she was charged with. Nothing they can do will bring Megan Meier back, and I’m not fully convinced that Lori Drew should bear the burden for that. I believe that her daughter and the employee should be charged, because they were the actual perpetrators in this crime.
We’ve all done it. We’ve all been guilty of piggybacking our own beliefs onto the beliefs of others in order to get them recognized, but to sit there and tell supporters of Gay Marriage that the ban on it in California also speaks volumes about racism and hatred is not fair. I believe that it takes power away from those couples who are desperately trying to seek some societal recognition for the lives they lead. I see nothing wrong with those couples receiving recognition from the law. I see everything wrong with activists for other organizations who have nothing to do with gay marriage on your average day of the week, showing up to make a fuss because it gets their cause back in the newspapers. Grow up.
